Cancellation Policy

Short Stay Policy
0-7 days prior to arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit or full quote value which ever is the greater.
8-14 days prior to arrival, forfeit 95% of deposit or full quote value which ever is the greater.
15-21 days prior to arrival, forfeit 90% of deposit or full quote value which ever is the greater.
22+ days prior to arrival, forfeit 85% of deposit or full quote value which ever is the greater.

Long Stay Policy > 28 Days
Staying in excess of 28 days is regarded as long stays in terms of SARS Vat guidelines for accommodation. Cancellation of booking in excess of 28 days, requires 28 days written notice of intention to vacate. In the event of premature departure the guest/s is liable for the full original booking value.

Deposit
Payment of deposit constitutes a binding agreement and is deemed that this accommodation is suited to guests needs as per photos of rooms herein.

The deposit is to be applied to meet the costs of and to compensate for any damage and/or Loss of income which may occur with the balance to be refunded in terms of short/long stay policy. Claims I.R.O the deposit must be submitted and fully motivated by the guest within 14 days of the guest vacating the premises failing which Eagles Rest B&B may refund same at their own discretion.

On Payment of a deposit (be it 50% or Full Quote value) guarantees accommodation for specified rooms and duration of stay. Subsequently specified rooms and nights can only be amended by mutual agreement, should Eagles Rest not be able to accommodate the above cancellation policy will apply.

Indemnity
The Lessor cannot be held responsible should the rooms not appeal to the guests personal taste.

In addition to paragraph 5 of the lease, the lessee agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Lessor from and against any loss, cost or damage of any kind, including their personal assets while residing at Eagles Rest.

Not withstanding the above, the Lessor will take all reasonable precautions to protect personal assets of the Lessee.

House Rules

1. No Animals of whatever nature is allowed in guest rooms.
2. Refuse disposal - Kindly keep room dustbin area clean and free from insects.
   • Remove regularly to outside bins provided.
   • Recycling will be appreciated and to be placed in green bins.
3. Care of rooms - Ensure cleanliness of kitchens, showers and ceilings.
4. Electricity and Gas - No overloading of electrical plugs (electrical stoves not permitted).
   • Should electricity consumption escalate due to continuous use of heaters and electrical blankets additional charges will apply.
   • The allowed monthly rate for Electricity for 1 adult is R150, the monthly rate for Electricity for 2 adults sharing is R200.
   • Purchasing of Gas is at your own expense.
   • On departure Please ensure the Gas bottle inside your unit is full.
5. Smoking and drugs not allowed in rooms - No noise between 22:30 - 06:00.
6. Disability mental or physical must be disclosed prior to commencement of stay.
7. Safety and security - No candles, lock your rooms on departure.
8. On-site parking for 1 vehicle per room only, visitors please park outside.
   • Ensure motorised gates are closed on arrival and departure.
9. All laundry to be done off-site no washing of clothes in basins or shower.
10. Visitor permitted to overnight for a maximum of 2 nights per calendar week with prior arrangement only - additional nights @ R150.00 per night.
